Ah!! revolution, the scent is fresh in the air. Yet there are so many different brands and aromas to fill our noses with and devote our lives to. How can you choose just one and not get caught up in the wave of democratic socialism that is currently trending? What is the most radical?
Primitivism, also known as green anarchy, holds true to basic anarchistic ideals while also championing extreme environmentalism. In a quest to become more primitive, green anarchists not only want to abolish the state but also anything that negatively affects man and his existence with nature including science, technology, and civilization as a whole. This is why you won’t see many primitivisms online championing their cause, because most primitivisms do not believe in using the internet.

Primitivisms are also against the domestication of life in any fashion. Whether it be the domestication of people, animals, or other forms of life. The domestication of land in the form of pastoral or agricultural fields is seen as a means to end the open sharing of nature to a more territorial state of possession. While many social movements have preached equality to all and the need to share the Earth’s resources, no one so definitely stands strong to this stance as green anarchists. While anarchists in general are against rulers and authority of humans over other humans, green anarchists are against authority over any life. The rights of indigenous human populations, is also a top priority of many primitivism.
So the question is, is resistance fertile? The Green Anarchist International Association was formed in 1982 and includes collectives and fractions from around the world. As time passes the numbers continue to grow. Many criticize such a movement, even fellow anarchists, but one would never know unless they experienced it themselves.
